I walked alone
In sorrow and shame
And I had no one
But myself to blame
For I lost the sight
Of God's mighty plan
And I strayed away
From the touch of His hand
The touch of His hand
Means so much to me
I cling to Him now
And He walks with me
I'll make it through
To heaven's bright land
For I'm kept by the touch
Of God's mighty hand
When days are dark
And I cannot see
I lean on the Lord
And He stands by me
And just when it seems
That I cannot stand
By faith I can feel
The touch of His hand
The touch of His hand
Means so much to me
I cling to Him now
And He walks with me
I'll make it through
To heaven's bright land
For I'm kept by the touch
Of God's mighty hand
(Mosie Lister)
This song spoke to me in a new way as I heard it sung by a group last night. The "touch" that means so much to me, do I truly cling to it? My life is kept by that touch, a touch that is unique to each one of our lives. He cares so much about me to have a distinct touch for my life. Do I fully grasp that? In the human mind, it is impossible to fully grasp that, but we serve a God who is bigger, who cares about little me! I was challenged anew to fully cling to that Hand that guides me through the unknown, so that He may be known.
Kept in touch by God's mighty hand!

Amen! Reminded of this daily as I begin deputation. It's not about me or money. It's not about what we can or can't accomplish. It's about Jesus Christ and what He can do through us, in us, and for us- the credit goes to Him because "apart from me, ye can do no thing". What a privilege to just cling and watch Him work!!
